STP - Employee ID is Invalid

Why is "Employee ID is invalid" a problem?

Does the tax office use this information?

Re: STP - Employee ID is Invalid

Hi @Matt_AHP

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge

My understanding is that one of the requirements for single touch payroll is that each employee record/card does have a unique identifier. As such, the Card ID has been used to showcase that within the AccountRight 2018 range and each employee would need to have a unique Employee ID/Card ID.

Need to bulk update your cards to add a Card ID? Help Article: Bulk updating customer, supplier and employees cards the process that can be used update those cards in bulk.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: STP - Employee ID is Invalid

Hi Everyone

Just an update on this particular situation. With the release of AccountRight 2018.2 (next release), Single Touch  Payroll will use a unique system generated record applied to each card and not the Card ID.

We don't recommend bulk updating the Card ID via the Import/Export Assistant for this purpose.
