STP Employee Missing

Hi

I am trying to finalize the End of Year Single Touch Payroll for a client, and have 2 employees missing. I have read through other similar issues and tried the solutions available with no luck. Not too sure what to do from here, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Ibraham Dalger

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi @IbrahamDalger,

Thank you for the post!

Are you able to confirm that have you paid these 2 missing employees in that payroll year? I would recommend to check in employee card the employee status and employee basis are not set to other.

Thank you.

Cheers,
Gayathri

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi Gayathri,

i have noticed that in cases where an employee on salary/full time and a casual employee on hourly rate are paid on the same day, the STP Report will only show one payment (it's either one or the other).

can you please advise how to rectify this?

thank you

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi @Rocco2d

Can you check the employment basis for the employee and ensure they are not set to ‘Other’? This was noticed to cause STP issues and should resolve once you change from other to something else. You can check this by going to the Employee Card >> Payroll Details >> Personal Details >> Employment Basis:

Let me know how this goes for you. If your inquiry is resolved please mark ‘Accept as Solution’ to help other users find this post easier.

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi @Theresa_D ,

thank you for replying on multiple fronts Smiley Happy.

To recap, casual employee paid weekly and on hourly basis appears regularly on STP report other than when that payment date coincides with salary payment of the monthly employee.

In this instance, one of the two will not appear on the report.

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi Gayathri

Thank you for the reply.

All settings were in order, I just had to run a NIL payrun in that financial year and they both updated on STP. Not sure why that is the case but it worked!!

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi @IbrahamDalger   I'm glad completing a $0 pay run helped resolved this.  This is the case because a nil pay pulls through the YTD information the ATO looks for, more details in the linked post.  It can resolve some odd numbers and things so is a good payroll troubleshooting step.

@Rocco2d  I'd suggest giving this a try, let me know if that sorts it for you as well.

Cheers,
Theresa

Re: STP Employee Missing

thanks @Theresa_D ,

I have tried the nil run but little luck.

I did notice the YTD sum in EOFY Finalisation within the STP Reporting does match the correct figure, however in the ' Reports' tab the report is missing.

Re: STP Employee Missing

Hi @Rocco2d

Thanks for trying the nil pay, I'm glad the YTD figures are accurate. So we’ve now checked that the employee is not set to Other, can you verify that you are in the correct payroll year under the reports tab?

Usually this situation would only happen if the basis was set to other or if there was nothing to report.  I will send you a private message as well so you can provide screenshots.

Thanks for your patience as I assist.

Cheers,
Theresa
