STP For AccountRight Enterprise V19.14

Hi,

I'm sorry if this has question has been asked before. I'm currently using AccountRight Enterprise V19.14 and would like to confirm whether  this version is  going to be STP enabled by July 2018? Based on what I've read, it won't be and STP referral has been granted by ATO. We're not able to move to the latest version of  AccountRight because there's a need to use multi-currency. What is the next step?

Thank you

KLee

Re: STP For AccountRight Enterprise V19.14

Hi @KLee - welcome to the Community Forum !

Users of AccountRight Enterprise v. 19.14, who currently cannot upgrade to Account Right Live (currently v. 2017.2) due to features missing in the Live version, have been granted a deferral until 31 May 2019, before they have to move to a program with STP.

MYOB are currently working on adding required new features to AccountRight Live (currently v. 2017.2) and I understand these will be added well before that date, enabling these users to upgrade to AR Live. The features coming include multi-currency, multiple inventory locations, negative inventory balances and improved Categories reporting.

I can see that @Kym__Yeoward has already provided you with great information. Just to further what was mentioned, our MYOB Research Team are looking at hosting a MultiCurrency Beta for AccountRight LIVE and we are now open for Clients to register their interest in joining this program. We encourage Clients to register for the Beta to ensure we can notify STP impacted Clients once they are eligible to migrate and enjoy all the additional benefits of being online with AccountRight.

Re: STP For AccountRight Enterprise V19.14

Hello Hayden_B,  Just looking at this thread, we are also on V19.14 Premium and are looking to move to the cloud to save upgrading our servers for the next desktop version.  I have been writing emails and sitting in phone cues to get the following answered but not one response from MYOB support. Very frustrating as I have been asking since 11/7/2018.

Where are the resources and white papers to answer the following please?

MYOB to address the following risk related questions with regards to AccountRight LIVE(cloud):

  1. Where is the data housed?
  2. Is the data multi sited?  Multiple redundant locations.
  3. Who is housing the data, company and their experience CV.
  4. Metrics for uptime of the servers and data loss metrics over the last 5 years
  5. Our data security. Who has access to the data and the level of encryption.
  6. Confirm that the hosting companies have no national links to China or Russia entities nor their governments.
  7. Links to the information and contextual supporting documents.

As stated above we require this information from a verified source (MYOB) if we are to make the migration.

Re: STP For AccountRight Enterprise V19.14

Hi @woodcertifiers,

Thank you for your enquiry. And sincere apologies for the trouble you've had with receiving relevant information from us.

Please find below the responses to your queries:

1. Where is the data housed?

A: The data is housed in Australia (Sydney and Melbourne)

2. Is the data multi sited?  Multiple redundant locations.

A: Yes it is, Sydney and Melbourne.

3. Who is housing the data, company and their experience CV

A: Microsoft and Amazon are housing the data in their Melbourne and Sydney data centres, via their cloud offering Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.  Data is hosted at world-class data centre facilities, all of which achieved attestation/certification for SOC and ISO 27001.

4. Metrics for uptime of the servers and data loss metrics over the last 5 years

A: 99.99% uptime. 100% uptime over the last 12 months.

5. Our data security. Who has access to the data and the level of encryption.

A: User access to the data is managed within the application and this is managed and controlled by the client.  MYOB is not permitted to use client data for any purpose other than providing its clients with the service that they have asked for. Data is encrypted at rest, via volume encryption. Also, all communications in between system components/services are encrypted using TLS

6. Confirm that the hosting companies have no national links to China or Russia entities nor their governments.

A: Microsoft and Azure are global companies operating in Australia, complying with their obligations under Australian privacy law – see links about security, privacy and compliance below.

7. Links to the information and contextual supporting documents.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any further queries you may have before and during the move. We're always happy to assist.
