With STP, when I go into payroll categories and then select deductions for our salary sacrifice (NFP), what do i choose for the STP category? I am not sure how the salary sacrifice will get reported? And we usually have to manually put in the grossed up amount for the salary sacrifice. How will this be reported now..... I am a little confused. Thanks

I was wondering that also. By my reasoning, I am guessing it depends on the nature of the SS.
If it is an employee requested SS, and the base amount of the SG caulculation is reduced by the SS amount, it would be not reportable.
If it is an employer intitated payment as part of the salary package, I am guessing it would be reportable but do not see how it could be classed Superannuation Guarantee.
But not certain either way.

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find plenty of useful information.
With STP any Salary Sacrifice for superannuation will be reported as R.E.S.C. and you won't need to adjust the Gross. If it is not superannuation it is Not Reportable.

But hold on, Employer Additional Super ie extra super over and above the super guarantee as part of an employees contract package is not "Superannuation Guarantee" its "Reportable Employee Super Contributions". In the latest MYOB download for Account Right 2018 you are unable to elect this. It only lets you have "Super Guarantee" which is wrong. Can we get this fixed?

Hi @CathyNPM
Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a great resource
Reportable Employer Super Contributions is something that is out team will be adding to the reporting categories in the next couple of months before all users need to start reporting for Single Touch Payroll

Hi,
My initial query has nothing to do with superannuation. One client is a NFP organisation which allows staff to salary sacrifice 611.50 per fortnight onto a bpackaged credit card, where they can choose to arrange direct debits to come out or pay for groceries etc, can you please advise which reporting category this will go to.
Thank you.

Hi @ChrissieE
All categories that we do/will have in the AccountRight releases for STP are categories we have been given from the ATO. The best place to determine what category you will require is to navigate to the "Payroll Command Center -> Payroll Reporting". Then on this window click on the "Learn more" link in step 2 which takes you to the ATO's website.
Cheers,

I think I have the same issue.
Have you set up the salary sacrifice as a deduction? Because there's no option to link to Gross payments.

Hi @ChrissieE,
Thank you for your post. There has been a lot of discussion for us around this particular issue.
We, in the payroll team, are aware of this issue an are moving as fast as possible to get a resolution for this.
We are having multiple discussions on the best resolution and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused in the mean time.
We will ensure that this is resolved before STP is mandatory to be reporting through.

I now have the updated version 2018.2. This has more categories in the super field. Am I correct in saying that for an employee with 100% salary sacrifice it is not reportable??
Also, wouldn't it have been easier to default payroll categories to Gross Wages.
Thanks
