STP and AccountRight Premier

When will AccountRight Premier (multi currency user) be STP compliant?  Is there a test application ready to tryout yet?

Re: STP and AccountRight Premier

Apparently this won't be happening. Please feel free to private message me for possible alternatives to upgrading if you would like further information. Also, the ATO website has this information for small businesses:

Employers with 19 or less employees

Legislation to extend Single Touch Payroll to include employers with 19 or less employees is currently before parliament.

For now, you can choose to report through STP. Talk to your software provider to find out what you need to do to update your software and start reporting.

We won't force employers with 19 or less employees to purchase payroll software if they don’t currently use it. Different STP reporting options will be available by 1 July 2019 to help smaller employers.

Micro employers (1–4 employees)

We have asked software developers to build low-cost STP solutions at or below $10 per month for micro employers – including simple payroll software, mobile phone apps and portals.

We have received over 20 expressions of interest (EOI) from software developers and will publish a register of the successful EOIs we have received by 30 November 2018.

Micro employers will also have a number of alternate options that are not available to employers with 20 or more employees – such as initially allowing your registered tax or BAS agent to report quarterly, rather than each time you run your payroll.

Exemptions to STP reporting will also be available if you have no internet or an unreliable connection.

Re: STP and AccountRight Premier

Hi @CeeJed

I'm assuming you're referring to AccountRight Premier v19, in which case @Elizabeth_Adamson's post is relevant to you.

With that said, we are continuing to build in Multiple Currency options into the new software with the next release that allows files to be upgraded currently in the final stages of testing and should be ready in the next week or 2. (Note that this won't allow Sales in Multiple Currencies and may not suit some businesses)

There are Beta features in the current release (2018.3) which you can downloaded and test the Clearwater Sample file to see how the new Multiple Currency features for Purchases are working currently. There will be some changes with how Multiple Currency works in the software and may be worth checking out before release.

Here's how to get the application and open Clearwater for testing:

  1. Download 2018.3 from our Downloads Page (www.myob.com).
  2. Open Clearwater (The sample file)
  3. Turn on Multi-Currency

You can click on the 3rd point to open the support note on the new Multi-Currency features and use Clearwater to play around.

If you're playing around and have any questions, or any feedback for us, feel free to post it on this Forum Board: Multi Currency Test Drive

Note that this currently a Beta and more features/improvements will be coming as new AccountRight releases come.

Cheers,

Hayden
