STP- no wages

As times are slow I am not paying wages every week. Do I need to report for weeks when no wages are paid?

Re: STP- no wages

Hey @mattfin,

Thanks for the post. I hope you are enjoying the community forum.

The ATO is only focussed on YTD values. So you would just need to send a report each time you process payroll.

I hope this clears up your question. If it does, I kindly ask that you click the "Accept As Solution" button.

If you have any more questions, please do not hesistate to ask.

Cheers,
Maxine

Re: STP- no wages

Hi @mattfin

Just to be safe I’d check with the ATO because once you start reporting weekly they expect weekly reports.  There won’t be penalties this FY but next FY there will be penalties for late reporting and they may view your non-reporting as late reporting.

You may need to apply for an Operational Deferral.

Cheers

Tracey
