Single Touch Payroll Reporting

We have recently crossed over to MYOB AccountRight Online since 1 July 2018 (upgraded from an old MYOB AccountRight Version 19), we use MYOB for Payroll only. I have not yet set up single touch reporting on both of our Company files - we have less than 20 employees for each entity. If I now wanted to set it all up and report to the ATO etc. and I have already run two payrolls for each entity in July 2018 - is there any way that I can go back and report these to the ATO?

Thanks Natalie

Re: Single Touch Payroll Reporting

Hi @NattaB

Thank you for your post!

With Single Touch Payroll reports, if you wish to start reporting now it will send through both the Payrun information as well as the Year to Date figures. So although you won't be sending the individual figures you will have all pay runs sent through in the YTD information.

However if you wanted the individual pay runs to go through you would need to delete and re enter the pay runs.

Re: Single Touch Payroll Reporting

Hi Em_P,

Our first payrun for 2018/19 did not get reported to the ATO as the STP reporting had't been installed properly by MYOB. Whilst I appreciate subsequent payruns will have sent employees' YTD figures there was an employee in that first payrun who has not been paid in subsequent runs because they finished up in that first run.

Any suggestions on what I can do about that?

Thank you

Re: Single Touch Payroll Reporting

Hi @dinky

In the case that an employee has finished with the company in this Financial Year before you started STP reporting you will need to remove the termination date from their card and simply process a $0 pay run (VOID pay) this way the figures will go through to the ATO without updating anything extra.
