Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP) and AccountRight Enterprise 19.14

Hi,

can you confirm that AccountRight Enterprise 19.14 will NEVER have STP functionality?

Thanks,

Bob

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP) FAQ pages

Just a suggestion, but would you please add to the STP FAQ page ( https://www.myob.com/au/support/single-touch-payroll ) a list of software versions and whether or not they will or will not have STP functionality.

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP) and AccountRight Enterprise 19.14

Hi @DrBob - in short, yes  - STP-functionality is not planned for AccountRight Enterprise v. 19.14.

The ATO, through MYOB, has given v.19.14 users an extension to 31 May 2019, before they have to upgrade to an STP-enabled payroll, if they have 20 or more employees. For thosse wth 19 or fewer staff, the cut-over date is 1 July 2019.

Instead, I understand the v.19.14 features that currently aren't in AccountRight 2017.2 or 2018.1, will be added during 2018  - including multi-currency (shortly to be beta-tested with client volunteers) and multiple inventory locations.

See the comments by Suja_P, myself and others, on pages 5 to 9 in this Forum, for more info.

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP)

STP - This is only available only in AccountRight 2018.1 and later.

We have 2017.2 - can you please advise when we will be getting the update 2018.1?

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Hi @NardiaPlumbing - With version 2017.2 you can start planning for the STP rollout coming later this year. This version includes an extra field in each payroll category, for STP reporting. By default, it shows as “ not reportable”. You can get ready for STP by matching each pay category with it’s STP equivalent. So Base Hourly and Overtime each go to STP “Gross Pay”. As STP replaces annual payment summaries, the STP fields represent the fields on the payment summary. Matching your pay categories to their STP equivalents now, could save time later, when the final stage of the STP upgrade is released around May (its currently undergoing beta testing with a panel of users). Version 2018.1 released last week also includes the new pay category STP fields, plus some helpful tools - e.g checking employee addresses and tax file numbers. Employers with 20 or more staff need to move to an STP-enabled version of AR 2018 by 1 July - those with fewer staff have until 1 July 2019 and those who face a technical delay, have until 31 May 2019 to make the change. Keep an eye on the STP page in this Forum. Hope this helps - sent from my iPhone in a food court. Kym Y in Darwin.

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Thank you Kym - I have started the process. Just one more question, with salary sacrificing into super - what would the STP category be?

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Hi @NardiaPlumbing - for Salary Sacrifice Super, use the STP category "Reportable Employer Super Contribution".

For Superannuation Guarantee, use the STP Category "Superannuation Guarantee".

The other superannuation categories can be left as "non-reportable" for STP purposes.

Re: Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Correct Duncan - mandatory from 1 July 2019 for all other employers.
