Unused Annual Leave paid on termination is not flowing through to the YTD Verification report

I had set the STP Phase 2 ATO category for unused leave paid on termination to "Unpaid leacve on termination". However, this is not showing up on the STP YTD verification report. I went back and changed the reporting category to "Lump Sum A - Termination". Now my STP YTD verification report matches my payroll register report.

I am hesitant to finalise 2023 as the ATO website wants us to assign annual leave paid on termination to "unpaid leave on termination" not Lump sum A. Is this a myob issue or am I doing something incorrectly?

Can I ask are you on STP2?

I noticed in the category unused leave you can select ATO reporting category "unused leave on termination"  I was thinking of using that?

Sure am on Phase 2. I tried the report again this morning and the unused leave paid on termination is now pulling throught to the YTD STP verification report. Yes use that ATO reporting category as it now works.

Have just tried to run the STP2 Finalisation report (A/right) and Unused Annual Leave paid on termination amounts not showing on verification report - nor 3 dots!  Neither is the 'Leave loading paid on unused annual leave on termination'.  Did you need to run zero payroll to push it through?  Any ideas would be great.  I've got 30 employees and this is happening to 2 of them.  Seriously contemplating changing the ATO Reporting Category to Gross Payments just to finalise.

Yes I did have to run a zero/nil pay for each terminated employee to get it to flow through. Very painful it was. Yes I was about to change the unused leave on termination back to Lump Sum A, but I set it as Unused Leave  On Termination, then did a nil pay for each terminated employee and it worked this morning. This type of stuff makes me stress out, waste of my time and the clients. If ATO want STP then they should be working with the software suppliers not leaving us poor accountants to work it out for them LOL.

Thanks Lesley.  I've just run 0 pays for both and sent file to ATO.  I'll wait till the STP reporting shows 'Accepted' and then try the verification report again.  Fingers crossed this works now!

Thats exactly what I did. It did take a while for the 0 pays to be accepted. It will work I hope!
