Using a local/desktop file with STP

Please confirm, if a client using V2018 but have data file located on their desktop/server, can they submit their STP reports to the ATO whilst remaining on the desktop, or do they have to load the data file to the cloud to submit the reports?

Hi @GregT

AccountRight 2018 allows for clients to store their company files locally or online. At this stage, we are looking at the Single Touch Payroll service being available to both offline and online company files using this platform, similar to that of bank feeds and pay superannuation- you will just need an active Internet connection at the time of processing payroll. More details relating to Single Touch Payroll will be made available closer to release.
