single touch payroll

We are just starting to reconcile payroll for the last financial year to check if anything has gone wrong  with the single touch payroll and have discovered to problems our first weeks pay of 2017-2018 did not go to ATO so we need to find out how to report that and now we have discovered that our only salary based employee does not go into the reportable figures to the ATO but we cannot see why. Has anyone any ideas ?

Re: single touch payroll

Hi @Kage

 17/18 FY or 18/19 FY?

If it’s 17/18 that payroll year will be closed and finalised so you need to contact the ATO with regards to the unreported salary employee.

With STP each pay event updates the YTD figures with the ATO, so the first two weeks will have been updated in the 3rd week. Check the last STP report in the Payroll Reporting Centre to make sure the YTD figures sent to the ATO match what is recorded in MYOB.

Is the Employment Basis of the salary employee set to Other? This would exclude that employee from STP.

Hope this helps

Tracey

Re: single touch payroll

Thanks Tracey sorry it was 18/19 FY so will check YTD to see if it is correct.

The salary employee was set to other so if we change this will this also catch up to YTD or is there something else we have to do.

regards

Kathy
