wrong employee selected

Hi there, I just found out I made a mistake on selecting an employee, the wages was supposed to be another empolyee as their name are very similar, it was sent to ATO already when the entry was done. How can I correct it? Thanks very much.

Re: wrong employee selected

Hi @Kayc

You can delete the incorrect pay and process the pay for the correct employee. When you declare the correct pay STP will update and correct the YTD amounts for both employees.

If you need any further help let me know

Cheers

Tracey

Re: wrong employee selected

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for answering. I followed the steps to delete the wrong pay and then enter the pay to the correct employee, but i try to check it in the payroll reporting, the wrong employee is still there.

Re: wrong employee selected

Hi @Kayc

Sorry, I left out that you should do a $0 pay for the incorrect employee to update their YTD amounts. Or if you are paying them in your next payrun their YTD amounts will be updated when you declare that pay.

once your YTD amounts are correct, you’re all good.

Cheers

Tracey

Re: wrong employee selected

Hi @Kayc

Just adding to @bungy15 's above advice.  More details on the $0 pay run in the linked article.  I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Theresa
