Hi Everyone
EMPDUPE files are files created by your MYOB Software that be used to report payment summary information to the ATO’s Business Portal Website.
How do I create one?
In AccountRight, when preparing your payment summaries via Payroll>>Prepare Payment Summaries, you will have the option for Lodge Payment Summaries (Step 9). Within this window, you will have the option for Save Payment Summary Report file, By selecting this option it will allow you to save the relevant EMPDUPE file on your computer. For more information on preparing payment summaries please see Payment Summaries
Got another MYOB Product? Do take a look at either AccountEdge or MYOB Essentials on creating a relevant EMPDUPE file for your product.
I need to recreate my EMDPUPE file (for the current payroll year)?
You can create an EMPDUPE file for the current payroll year through the Payroll>>Prepare Payment Summaries>>Lodge Payment Summaries window.
I need to recreate my EMDPUPE file (for a previous payroll year)?
You can only create an EMPDUPE file can only be created for the current payroll year that you are in. You can see the current payroll year you are in via Setup>>General Payroll Information>>Current Payroll year ends 20xx.
If you have closed your payroll year and do need to recreate that EMPDUPE file you would be looking at restoring a backup prior to closing that payroll year. Once that backup has been restored and you are in the required payroll year you can recreate the EMPDUPE file via the Payroll>>Prepare Payment Summaries>>Lodge Payment Summaries window.
I have made a mistake and do need to edit my EMPDUPE file?
Once an EMPDUPE is created changes are not able to be made to that file. However, you are welcome to go through the Prepare Payment Summaries process again and make the necessary changes before recreating that file again.
