Hi Everyone
Single Touch Payroll (STP) means that employers don't need to prepare payment summaries and lodge EMPDUPE files anymore. However, there may be situations where an employer does want to provide payment summaries so how can you do that in AccountRight?
The good news is that we haven't removed the Prepare Payment Summaries function from AccountRight, you can still find it in Command Centres>>Payroll>>Prepare Payment Summaries:
Important: don't finalised Single Touch Payroll (STP) and lodge an EMPUDE file. This will duplicate your employee's income statements.
For step-by-step instructions you can refer to this help article: Prepare payment summaries
If you just want to provide your employees with a paper copy of their income statements you can use the Summary of payments* in the Payroll reporting centre:
*this report is not a payment summary and cannot be submitted to the ATO.
As always, if you do need help please start a new post. Our team of MYOB technical support staff and the generous MYOB Community is always happy to help.
Cheers,
Tracey
