How can we add QuantityOnHand with items through the API as the field is read-only?

Thanks for reaching out, Currently this is a read-only field, you would need to create a Purchase or Sale to change the QuantityOnHand.

So that's the only way we should track inventory? I was thinking about inventory adjustment but I wasn't sure if we can (or should) use it. Should we? as the other answer in this thread also suggests.
We do have, in the pipeline, to integrate Purchases but we can't rely on the inventory control through purchases only because our system allows manual stock entries and stock adjustment in addition to purchased stock.
