Stock adjustment not working

Hi,

 

I am trying to assist a company who has just completed a stock take.

They cannot perform a stock adjustment on items that have an outstanding incoming order.

 

We have done stock adjustments on all of the items that have no incoming orders but we don't want to have to cancel all incoming orders, perform the adjustment, and then reinstate the orders.

 

Does anyone have a way around this issue?

Hi Marc,

 

I have just done quick test using the API to do a stock adjustment on an item with an outstanding order and had no problem.

Do you have more detail of the error returned by the API, assuming you are using the API?

If you are trying to make the adjustments manually in AccountRight, what message does it display when it fails?

 

Note that you cannot adjust the quantity in any one location below zero. This is probably not related but worth bearing in mind.

The error we get is:

This transaction cannot be recorded as item xxxx has outstanding receive items.

Sorry but I haven't seen that error and can't recreate it using AccountRight Premier AU 2023.6.1

What version of AccountRight are you using?

Are you using a 3rd party Add-on app and API to do the stock adjustments?

Is that message displayed by the Add-on app or by AccountRight itself?

Hi @marcrussell 

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!  Can you please convert the received item orders in to bills before proceeding. Otherwise you can use the move items window at the bottom-left of the Inventory Command Center screen.

Hi,

 

Ok.. I sat down with the users today and went through the process with them.

They are using the count inventory option as (almost) all of the items need adjusting.

The count inventory option loads into the Adjust inventory dialog and it is when they try to click to accept the changes that the error comes.

We tried the Adjust inventory avenue without the count inventory entry point and it worked for an item with outstanding goods inwards orders.

Is there a way to bring the entire inventory into the adjust inventory avenue without going through the count inventory or is it a case of having to manually go through adding each item and then adjusting every 20-30 items?
