An unrecognised error occurred - Cards_EmailInvalid

Hello,

 

I'm trying to add an email address to a customer and when I save the customer record I receive this error:

An unrecognised error occurred - Cards_EmailInvalid

 

So I closed the customer form, reopened the customer record and simply pressed save on the unchanged customer record, and received the same error.

 

As far as I can tell there are no problems sending emails to this customer, but I want to add an email address to their record.

 

Is there anything that can be done?

I am having problems with saving customer records.

 

I added an email address to a customer and received this error when I pressed save:

An unrecognised error occurred - Cards_EmailInvalid

 

Then I closed the customer record, reopened it, and pressed save on the unchanged customer record and received the same error, so it wasn't anything that I entered incorrectly on the first time it happened.

 

emails still seem to send, I can manually send an invoice to an email address, but I can't add a new email address to a customer.

So that I can test this on my end and investigate further, could you please send me a private message with the below details:

 

  • Serial number
  • Business name 
  • Email address (you're trying to add) 
  • Screenshot of the error (if possible)

Hi,

 

Sorry for the delay, I have sent the details.

 

On the screenshot, the last email address in the list is the one I'm trying to add to the customer.

On my account there is only one business set up.

Hi @smileykylie1982,

 

Thank you for your screenshot via PM.

 

I did test this on my test file and was able to save it successfully, could you please open the software in a different browser to see if the same error persists?

I will need to test tonight on firefox because none of my laptops here have anything other than Chrome (latest)

To confirm, I tried this on a different laptop still with Chrome and received the same error.

I will try with Firefox tonight when I get home

I performed some investigating and discovered that I have two customers I can't make any changes to.

I am still looking. It may have something to do with email reminders?
