PDF: Compatibility with NitroPDF

Hi team,

I use Nitro Pro 7 as my PDF reader / editor.  Its a good program and I've never had any compatibility problems regarding PDFs since I've had it.  However, when I started using the MYOB Invoice send to functions, I notice that the PDF where showing up blank in Nitro Pro 7.  Naturally I thought there was a problem with the MYOB PDF writer - which there is.  However, when I view the same file using Adobe Reader X, it shows up no problem.

With some help from Seb on the MYOB online help I discovered this compatiblity issue.

I can only fathom that it must the the PDF writer being used by the MYOB software is not actually generating full compatible PDF files.  Can you please look into upgrading your internal PDF writer for a future release.

Thanks.  Carl.

The MYOB internal PDF writer which is used by AccountRight 19 and AccountRight  2012.10 is defintely out of date as windows update periodically lists an optional update  to Amyuni PDF Converter.

  • I've experienced numerous compatibility issues with Nitro long before I used MYOB. It's Nitro's problem that it doesn't support the full PDF spec.
