Report: General ledger details - Gross amount (Amount including Tax)

The General Ledger report within MYOB Essentials (and all other MYOB software packages) should have a Gross column.

This is especially frustrating for clients who have recently moved from BankLink and are accustomed to this feature in their reports.

I know that this will have been suggested many times by customers. Other software providers such as Reckon and Xero integrate this feature, so this is something that MYOB should be on board with.

I agree with the above comment. It is not clear that the general ledger is showing net figures.

To add to this, it would be great if the general ledger totalled the transactions for the period. At the moment the opening balance adds to the transactions for the period to get the closing balance. We need to manually subtract the opening balance to get the total of the transactions for the period.

To clarify - THREE columns : Gross, Net & GST Amount

  • Agree - Have atleast 3 partners this year ask me about this feature.
Have had to tell them that it's simply not available as yet.

Yes, if we can get 3 columns - net amount, GST amount and gross amount that would be great!

    Hi Everyone

MYOB Essentials has been expanded with additional functions for reports. One of these changes is to the General Ledger report, which will allow for the Gross Amount column to be added (or removed). To add this column display this report and select Customise before choosing Gross Amount from the Select columns to display.

Note: This reporting change is available for the new MYOB Essentials platform. Existing (original) MYOB Essentials platform users will be migrated across to the new platform in due course based on the complexity of their MYOB Essentials product level. At the time of posting, migrations are already underway.
