Change item to Inventoried Item

Hello Team

I have a client with a pre-existing item register that now wish to change their items to being inventoried.  We are coming up against the problem of there being pre- existing transactions to these items.  Is there a way we can change these without deleting sales or having to re create the items.  The item register is currently over 1500 items .

Thank you.

  • Hi, Mere1

    Thanks for your post.

Upon checking, you can't start tracking stock for items that you've already bought or sold. If you wish to track stock for an item, you can duplicate it and then make the old one inactive in the item details. For more information on how to create new items, you may check out the Help Article: Creating items.

Please feel free to reach out if further assistance is needed.

If my response has answered your inquiry, please don't forget to click "Accept Solution" to help other users find this information.

    Best regards,

      Hi Mere1

Or you could get in touch with a MYOB specialist who can change an item to or from Inventoried, whether used or not. Email or private message for contact details if interested.

      Regards

      Gavin
