NEW Essentials upgrade duplicating invoices

Has anyone reported an issue with their invoice numbers being duplicated after the NEW Essentials upgraded has been completed.

 

They are for different customers and have different amounts and descriptions but MYOB has somehow doubled up a few of the invoice numbers when the upgrade has happened.

Are the doubled invoice numbers migrated from your old file or did you enter these as new transactions in your software?

 

The upgraded Essentials allows for 8 digit invoice numbers, whereas the legacy version allowed for 12 digits. This means that during the upgrade, if an invoice number was over 8 digits, the last number of the invoice number will drop off and could cause duplicates that way.

 

You will need to manually enter in the invoice number each time you want to use an invoice number greater than 8 digits. You will need to do this on each invoice, as the automated numbering system will revert back to 8 digit invoice numbers on each invoice.
