Bank rec issue

hi, 

 

i had to change an account code of a transaction which was already reconciled in bank ( it was for March 2022). i changed the account code and now the transation appears as unreconciled transaction in Sep 2022.

Can you please help how i do fix it? 

do i need to unreconcile all of the months to reach upto Mar 2022 and do the reconciliation again?

Hi @MaroniteV 

 

Thank you for your post. If a transaction was previously reconciled, then editing it will become unreconciled. As this was a few months ago, you'll need to undo the reconciliation it belongs to, as well as the following reconciliations.

 

To undo the reconciliations:

  1. Go to Banking > Reconcile accounts.

  2. Choose that account from the Account dropdown list.
  3. Click Undo > Yes, undo reconciliation.

Then do the same for each reconciliation until March, then redo them back to the present date.
