Hi David, I resolved the problem by forking out $12 to a third party (you can find the name on this forum but I'll also find it for you) rather than waiting for MYOB to pretend that they'd fixed the problem that they'd clearly made and let us all back in. That was after a lot of people again threatened to sue them. If you read through all the comments and posts back at the beginning of the year you'll get the picture. Good luck! Very interesting. I'm still glad I spent $12 to get my file confirmed. Also very interesting that I still haven't had a reply from either of the two moderators working yesterday who pointedly refused to answer my questions posted publicly and privately. Later today I'll be lodging a tip-off to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about MYOB's breach of data security when it comes to sending invoices. I advised them of the problem in June 2022 but they were aware of it at least since January 2022. I'm still waiting for a non-platidunous response. I notice that problem is still occurring, most recently a month ago. I expect there'll be a massive data breach sometime soon and MYOB will pretend it's not a problem. If you trawl through my posts on this forum you'll see a nice long lot of posts about data breaches caused when sending out invoices from MYOB. (I'm still waiting to hear from their technical department about how they've resolved the issue.) Same thing happened to lots of people with payment summaries a few years ago - they sent them to random other people and included TFNs, addresses, etc etc. I have no faith in MYOB anymore. Version 19 suits my business practices and purposes just fine. All I need is for MYOB to stop using standover tactics to pressure me into doing something that is unnecessary and will ultimately force me to pay for a service that I actually paid for in full years ago. I'm a BAS agent. I use MYOB in my clients' businesses and my own. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to MYOB and I have zero desire to "upgrade" to a version that gives MYOB more control over me and my business, including the possibility of forcing me to pay for your ever-deteriorating "service" at some stage in the future. That is, it looks like you're forcing us to use a newer version of MYOB and start paying for it. That's despite the fact that we all bought the program outright and, for whatever reason peculiar to each business, we do NOT require a newer version of MYOB to do our bookkeeping. It's bullying, unethical and infuriating. The problem with confirming our files is at MYOB's end, not with everyone's installation of the program. So could you please get the page fixed ASAP so that we don't automatically get a 503 Error message and can get on with our bookkeeping? Are you now saying that we cannot confirm our MYOB files unless we upgrade and start paying a monthly subscription? I'm not sure that's actually legal. It certainly smacks of unconscionable behaviour on the part of MYOB. I need to confirm my company file but it won't work because I'm "unable to connect to MYOB's Online Confirmation Service" from within the program and can't do it online either. The page that various articles about confirming your file direct you to are out of order. I am also getting nowhere trying to confirm it by phone. Several phone number listed by MYOB for auotomated confirmation are "unavailable". I did get an answer when I called 1300 555 123 but have been on hold for the last hour, apparently all that time in Position 2 in the queue, so I guess that's not going to work either. Can someone at MYOB please help me confirm the file? It's an AccountRight Standard 19 file that I bought outright years ago and have been using happily and successfully ever sense. No, I do not wish to upgrade it. No, I have no desire to take out a monthly subscription. I just need to confirm the file as I've done for the last few years. Thanks in advance, Catherine
