ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsAccountRight not exporting to Excel Hi, Started receiving a message today when attempting export to Excel, which is something I do on a daily basis. Error C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current\Reports\Spreadsheet\GENJRLS.XLT Urgently need help. This is a process I have been doing on a daily basis until today. It is a big part of my reporting procedure. Thanks, Bronwyn SolvedRe: AccountRight not exporting to Excel Thank you so much Mike! For the novices around (that would definitely be me) OneDrive takes over your PC if you let it. I experienced major issues when I first got my new desktop and laptop late last year as I did not want the two PCs to sync. Which is what OneDrive did as I hadn't turned it off. Lost many hours of setting these up. Then, a few days ago, Windows performed an update and asked if I wished for it to backup automatically. Which I gleefully accepted. Little did I know by accepting Windows turned on sync PCs again. Next morning I woke up to my Outlook having lost 4 months of emails (my Desktop had synced to my rarely used laptop) and issues with MYOB/Excel also commenced. OneDrive keeps all documents and other items in the Cloud, not on my C drive. When I turned off OneDrive on my Desktop after retrieving my Outlook.pst file that also left my C:\Users\<myloginname>\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current with no sub folders or templates. These were all located on the OneDrive documents folder. In summary, I copied the Excel templates from the OneDrive \Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\Current\Reports\Spreadsheet into the Dropbox then dropped back into my C: drive and voila I can again export from MYOB to Excel. Truly appreciate you taking the time out of your day! You have been a major help. Kind regards, Bronwyn Re: AccountRight not exporting to Excel I have performed a quick and full repair, cleared the cache to no avail. Same message is appearing. This is very crippling for my business. Restoring a backup ARL 2021 file I am attempting to restore a 2021 ARL backup which looks to be v2021.2 file. I do not have copies of the old MYOB programs on my computer. MYOB advises I need to upgrade the file to 2023.x which I do. However, MYOB will not launch the upgraded file, it sits for a minute then simply disappears. Can I download older versions of the product to enable me to read the file? Cheers, Bronwyn SolvedRe: MYOB Log on issue Hi Mike, sadly whilst resolving one issue MYOB technical team created another. Sigh. We no longer have the "eye" to check if you have entered your password correctly. Really, these last few weeks has been super cumbersome. Regards, Bronwyn Re: What happened in that update last night? Hi Mike, it is great that MYOB provides limited access so as any changes made can be beta checked before releasing to market. However, I also agree with Jo on the lack of understanding from your back of house technical team on how we, as accountants in the real world, operate. I run MYOB for several of my Clients and often have 5+ files open at any one time. Why would you suddenly limit this? And as for the already vastly discussed screen bug that they released with 2025.01 please tell me this has been fixed in this release. Re: What happened in that update last night? Hi Genreve, Good to know. However, what does MYOB suggest we do in the meantime? We can't split screens! So, it makes processing extremely difficult in our "paperless" world. The only alternatives are to have an excellent memory jumping between screens, old fashion print PDFs out or copy and paste where possible jumping between screens. Not sure on your comment about making MYOB even better, sorry there some of us who still feel MYOB is still lacking so much when it comes to accounting software. Regards, Bronwyn Re: What happened in that update last night? And just to rub salt into the open wound MYOB are increasing their price on 1st March! Re: What happened in that update last night? Seriously MYOB? Can't you just leave things alone that work in the first place. There are enough bugs throughout Account Right Live without adding to them without any reason. Please just rewind the screen display coding changes you made in this release. Re: What happened in that update last night? Hi Earl, I don't think you have grasped the issue. Fixing display issues does not fix the problem. Try loading Account Right software, click on the rectangle located next to the "x" in the right top of the command centre, the command centre is centred and top of my screen, click on any of the buttons, then any program. For an example I have clicked on the card file and card list. MYOB is still in full screen mode. Close the card file and the command centre has moved back to top and left of my screen. So Earl it would be really awesome if MYOB could just fix it! Thanks kindly, Bronwyn
