Inventory tracking for Warranty purposes
I have a client using AccountRight Premier. They import raw material (metals) from multiple suppliers and either onsell it as raw material or machine/process it for sale. When the product arrives it is stored by type, weight etc with similar stock from other suppliers. If the stock is found to be faulty once they onsell it they have no way of identifying which supplier the faulty item came from, so they are absorbing all the bad stock costs. Short of storing all stock by supplier and creating multiple item numbers, for what is essentially the same generic item (eg Item A, Supplier X; Item A, Suppier Y etc) or similarly barcoding every item with a unique identifier is there any way to track a particular item in AccountRight or can somebody direct me to an add-on that may do it.703Views0likes1Comment
