ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Payroll & STP not updating at the ATO Hi erinbattams Unfortunately the MYOB moderators cannot give a clear and concise explanation as to why the compliance of the feature that MYOB promotes ie compliant STP reporting to the ATO - is not working in a number of instances - as can be seen by the replies and the insistence that if the reports are OK you are good to do - um no. One theory that I do have is that when there is an MYOB error on the pay run function - ie you have a saved Pay Run and then try and go back to that pay run in a day or so, MYOB programming cannot cope with this action and in fact freezes and errors. You then have to create a new pay run (re-enter all the information from your saved pay run). This in turn does not, for some unknown reason, send the information to the ATO - whether it is because there are two pay runs with the same time frame on the MYOB system - who knows. My solution was to amend the ATO BAS and/or the PAYG lodgement with the correct information and hope that at the end of the financial year that the correct payroll information (from the MYOB feature of compliant STP reporting) is received. thanks Re: Delay 11/03 - American Express Australia Hi JRFisher glad to be of help totally agree with you and paying a premium interestingly I keep getting "badges" for my numerous complaints !!!! Re: Delay 11/03 - American Express Australia Hello all For us, and an interim solution for reconciling purposes (and BAS lodgement) we have downloaded a selected statement from the AMEX website - only choosing the missing entries from the bank feed. A QIF file needs to be downloaded to import into the "bank statement import" - once this is done the missing entries appear in the bank feed - bank transactions - screen. I am not sure if, and/or when the issue is resolved between MYOB and AMEX, the transactions will again appear in your bank feed, but I would like to think that it would just be a matter of requesting that MYOB delete the duplicate entries from your file ? Nutshell: MYOB not sending STP reporting (weekly or fortnightly) pay run (data file) information to ATO. When monthly ATO PAYG is to be lodged and paid, the PAYG / Gross Amounts from the MYOB file has not been received by the ATO. Simple - data link lost between MYOB file and ATO STP reporting. Why ? I do not think that the MYOB moderators go any further than the MYOB reports - actually logging on to the ATO and lodging the monthly PAYG. If they did, the would actually see what we are seeing on the ATO Business Portal. The issue is that when lodging the monthly PAYG with the ATO the STP reporting is not showing that month's full gross payment $ value nor the PAYGW $ value - in our case, having not received the MYOB file for a fortnight's pay run. This pay run does show in the pay runs section of MYOB with a total net pay $ value, but in the STP reporting section of MYOB Gross Payments is showing as $0 and PAYG Withholding is showing as $0 with a green "accepted". It all may be very well that the MYOB reports are correct and correlate (including a pay run history) - but this does not answer the question as to why the MYOB file has not reached the ATO STP reporting portal ? Further to this after sending an update event, the current payroll (last week) pops up in the bank transaction section of MYOB showing $0 value, and not being reconciled in the reconcile accounts section. So MYOB moderators, there is plenty to worry about. Can we too formally request a clear explanation as to why the ATO STP reporting is missing the MYOB file, that you so adamantly say not to worry about because the MYOB reports are correct ? Also, if you do not know the answer please just advise the community - don't tell us to go off on a wild report goose chase - as the majority of people will have done everything in the power before they turn to the community for a solution. Re: New invoicing glitch? Ah yes - I hear you loud and clear. There are many issues with MYOB in lots of areas. I do not think the programmers actually use the program they are writing or listen to the feedback of the actual users who "try" to use the program every day. They have tried to change things where changes were not needed - and this makes subscribers leave and go elsewhere. It WAS a good product but now ...................... Re: Pay run wont load Hello Thank you for your reply. Yes there are still issues with the pay window at the moment - as have been for the last hour. I too read the comments and answers and have carried out all the necessary tasks to try and alleviate the issue and try to get on with my day - and hopefully processing a payroll. I have reached out many times before but alas no suitable advice has been given. So we will just have to wait it out - as always - until MYOB gets its act together. Regards
