Improvements to updating employee pay details Hi all, we've recently released a message in AccountRight and MYOB Business to prompt you to either keep an employee’s current Standard Pay hours or revert them to the default hours per pay frequency when the pay rate or frequency is changed in the Payroll Details > Wages tab. This is for Australia only and will keep customers aware of how changes in wages affect Standard Pay and give greater control when updating hourly employees. In addition to guiding you through paying out unused Annual Leave, you can use Final Pay to pay unused Long Service Leave. With these two leave types included in a guided workflow, you will now be able to calculate the final pay for most employees leaving a business voluntarily. This update is part of our ongoing commitment to simplify and streamline the payroll process for our customers. We hope that you will find the new Final Pay workflow easy to use and helpful for complying with the relevant legislation. You can access this feature by selecting the Final Pay pay period in your payroll product. MYOB Business - Payrun improvements Hi Everyone Thanks to feedback from our community we have been able to release several enhancements to improve the pay run experience for AU payroll customers using MYOB Business. MYOB Business customers are now able to view the rate for wage pay items listed on the employee card, directly in the pay run. Should the rate have changed since you have saved a pay run, you’ll now be notified and given the option to recalculate with the new rate or leave it as is for this pay run. When entering hours into leave wage pay items, hovering over a new notification will show you current and projected leave balances, so you are better informed when paying leave. If you have already started a pay run, you can now add a pay item or a deduction without needing to go to the employee card. You can select the appropriate option and add the details, and your new item will be included for the employee in this pay run. We've done this to make the pay run workflow even more useful and to minimise the need for you to leave to find or change information. For more information on these enhancements you can see our "Do a Pay Run" help article. Or check them out the next time you are doing a pay run in MYOB Business. Find pay slips from employee records Have you had difficulty finding a replacement pay slip for a specific employee in MYOB Business? Now in addition to being able to search by pay run, you can find these on the employee record. Simply go to the employee and visit the new Pay Slips tab. Here, you will be able to email or download previous pay slips for that employee. We’ve also included a handy date filter so you can get to the right pay slip for the right employee even easier. SolvedEmployee sorting, sorted. We’ve recently made it easier to find the employee you need by sorting employees by first name throughout MYOB Business payroll. We hope this small improvement helps with your payroll workflow. Stay tuned for more usability enhancements to come.
