We have been a long time MYOB user and are seriously looking at another application. Goes against all of the Worldwide Accounting Termology. ABSOLUTE NUTS. Re: Changes Accounting and Accounting Terminology is based on Worlwide Accounting Standards in case you were unaware. What you have done is to create an ambigious terminology for Worldwide users. I might suggest if you do not want to lose many users that this decision is reversed. I for one do not want to start calling Accounts 'Category'. Good luck with this one Changes Hi there. Yesterday i read the information about the changes to what Accounts and Chart of Accounts are going to be called. I am horrified by this. Accounts are Accounts.. NOT CATEGORY Chart of Accounts is exactly that NOT CATEGORIES. Accounts and Chart of Accounts are the basic fundamentals of Accounting. I would love to know what posessed the 'obviously Non Accountant or even Finance person' to change these to Category and Categories. These DO NOT define Accounting and Accounting Packages. It does not make it easier for anybody to use... i believe you have now caused a massive amount of confusion for all Finance Professionals and non professionals who use this package. I am 100% against this ridiculous change. MYOB Team HI There We are looking at using MYOB Team however instead of using 'Base Hourly' we have Award categories that we pay employees under eg. SACS 3.2 and SACS 4.2 etc. We would find this extremely time consuming to change all 65 employees from Base Hourly to their correct category. Is this something that is going to be looked at in the future because I am sure we are not the only company that doesnt use Base Hourly? Also we need to be able to Unapprove leave requests when an employee cancels their leave. Is this going to be looked at as well? In its current form we find that unfortunately Team is not going to make our life easier unless some upgrades are to be made. I look forward to hearing back from you. MYOB said i need to contact my external accountants, which i did in the first place and they werent sure. I then spoke to our president who owns an accounting business and he was a bit unsure but said to enter them both in the same place. HI there. I work for a non for profit PBI who will use the Section 57A column in STP reporting for YTD. We have employees who use both the $30k threshold and the $2,650 Meal & Entertainment portion. What amount am i entering into the Section 57A column? Only the $29,998 ($30k) amount or do I add the $2,650 to it? If I add them together then we go over the $30k threshold and we may get pinged for this, when in fact it is two seperate FBT sections? I am running an Account Transaction GL Report and because we have purchases using credit cards, my memo/payee says Purchase; Credit Card Purchase. I would like this to actually tell me what the transaction was for. Would it be possible to link the 'Description' field behind the transaction into the report, so I do not have to go and look into around 200 individual transactions just to see what the transaction was ACTUALLY FOR?
