Reports: Run reports across financial years
It would be useful to be able to run a report across two financial years - for example, if I want to run a P & L for 1/1/13 to 31/12/13 I need to run a report for 1/1/13 to 31/3/13 then 1/4/13 to 31/12/13 and combine the two of them. Can we please have the option to include the accountants end of year adjusting GJ in the budget analysis report. Reports: Show account number by default on reports
Why dont the developers at MYOB create the ability in the Setup\Preferences\Reports & Forms to switch on to default that the account numbers are displayed on all financial reports? Seems a sensible option to me and would save time generating reports. No brainer?!? "Show Account numbers on Financial Reports - suggestion to have this as an option in Setup Preferences"
Report: Statement of Cash Flow - Include Income and expense accounts
The statement of cash flow is inadequate as it only includes balance sheet items/ cash in/out flow from investing and financing accounts - not expenses. The report need to include expenses / income for the specific period ie month by month for a cash flow report as opposed to the budget profit /loss report. A client is wanting to move away from MYOB to XERO because it doesn''t have that function. We have to produce the report by pulling up the banking transactions ie income / expenditure transfer it to a excel spreadsheet and work from there - not ideal at all. Could this be looked at? Company Data Auditor: Account Reconciliation - Option to remove an account
Could we please have the ability to remove an account from the reconciliation window in the data auditor. I use this process regularly to see what accounts have and haven't been reconciled. Unfortunately I have some clients that years and years ago once upon a time back in the dark ages, reconciled some of their P&L accounts which are no longer something I reconcile but they continue to come up in this screen which makes it less helpful. If we could just have a remove from this window (similar to being able to remove a file from the open window) it would alleviate some headaches. Search: Ability to search by partial account name
I am new to MYOB and have noticed when I go to disburse a charge / invoice to an Acct# and Job number that you can only search by the account number. This is quite impractical as i would have to memorise over 400 account numbers to be able to disbuse. With other accounting programs I have used you can do a search for the words or vehicle registration to isolate the only accounts set up with those words in them. Eg. Searching for the word "fee" or "repairs" etc. Is it possible for you to upgrade the search fields so you can also search for words? It would save a lot of time processing invoices and make this part of MYOB more practical for our comapny and I am sure for a lot of others as well. Thanks, Bec "Searching for Acct# and Job numbers"
Report: Trial Balance - Tickbox to add account numbers
The default TB does not include account numbers. To add these, is a unnessessarily cumbersome process: run the TB, then click on the Insert/Modify tab at the top of the window, then click the Show/Hide option. Then back to the previous screen to run and display a decent looking TB. It should be easier than this. Can't you just add the tick box back to the top of the TB, as in the previous version? I personally don't agree with it. As I've worked in the accounting industry all my life and I know why management reporting and everything is given ex-GST but I've had a few clients come to me with the request to have reports inclusive of GST and they say it will help with cashflow forecasting for themselves in real dollars as opposed to "ex-GST" dollars. So the main reports I'm looking at are the Profit & Loss reports and the Job Profit & Loss Reports at the moment.. But I'm sure other people might find other reasons for them.
