Reports: ATO Standard Business Reporting (SBR)
Will we be able to use AccountRight to submit forms to the ATO with future updates of AccountRight? I expected that we'd be able to submit Tax File Number Declarations with the current release as the function was said to be in beta testing for at least the last 2 years. http://community.myob.com/t5/Staffing-Payroll/TFN-Declaration-Reports/td-p/20641 I've read the support note herehttp://myobaustralia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/32250but it doesn't give any indication that it will be functional in this current release. It would be a very useful feature for anyone using myob as their payroll software. So, any updates? Liam.42KViews257likes93CommentsReports: Run reports across financial years
It would be useful to be able to run a report across two financial years - for example, if I want to run a P & L for 1/1/13 to 31/12/13 I need to run a report for 1/1/13 to 31/3/13 then 1/4/13 to 31/12/13 and combine the two of them. Hi there, Just wanted to put up for discussion the idea of an Unallocated Bank Feed Report or at least a general ledger option the same as LiveAccounts (see discussion below). http://community.myob.com/t5/Troubleshooting-LiveAccounts/Printing-unallocated-transactions/td-p/202492 I have clients who I do bookkeeping for and need to clarify several transactions a month in AccountRight Live Plus. Currently I have to screen shot the bank feed screen and then copy that onto an email to query with the client. It would be great if you could just print a report of all transactions that have been 'fed' through to MYOB but have not yet been 'allocated' or 'ticked off'. Thankyou "Unallocated Bank Feed Report"43KViews143likes55CommentsReports: Grand Total on Superannuation reports
Could we get a "Total of All Funds", "Total of all Categories" etc field in the Superannuation Reports? So that it shows the total amount of the payment that will be required? I realise this figure is available on other reports, but it would be a useful option to have on all of them.18KViews121likes22CommentsReports: Cash Flow Analysis
Where has Cash Flow Analysis gone. I don't know of any small business operater that doesn't rely on cash flow analysis 30/60/90 days, It's been in every version of MYOB that I am aware of, why omit it now? Please bring it back, it is a major oversight!!! I know you now have business insights but if you are a small business operator and not an accountant then this doesn't give the basic information we need!!!34KViews110likes64CommentsReports: Ability to create own report
Hi, I've been struggling with MYOB for a while trying to make the custom report I want and finally dropped the idea. To create a custom report: I need to open a prebuilt report, then select the field I want/don't want and then save as a custom report. Main problem is predesigned reports have a limited list of available fields to customise the report. And I lose time going from one to another to finally find the predesigned report that is close to what I need and then customise it. Even so, result is not perfect and I still have a lot of work to do on the file. I would be awesome if we could create a custom report from scratches without being linked to a predesigned one. Then we could select just the fields we need, order them the way we want and finally have a real full custom report that fits our needs ! It is very frustrating that reporting is not available more than the 12 months prior to the current financial year. Now that we have been in the business for nearly 5 years we would like to look at and analyse how we have performed. It seems without accessing and restoring prior years data this is not achieveable. What a HUGE let down. This should be a simple process, that is not time consuming. I have not worked with accounting packages before that dont provide this. I believe this is something that should be looked at as a matter of urgency. Can you please add a Multi period profit and loss sheet in the reports as this would make it easier to filter the jobs that you are afterfor the profit and loss in that period. There is one i know under profit and loss mutli period but it gives you all the jobs together,It would be a great ideaif we had one to seperate the jobs. It is one of the most important of all areas for all businesses to keep a tight reign on cash flow and overdue accounts, buy MYOB lets us down badly in credit managment reporting. Need a simple overdue customer report which can be filtered by all customers who are one or two terms past their invoice term. Need a report which lists all customers currently on credit hold Need a report which lists all customers over their credit limit. Also it would be excellent to see if a customer is on credit hold when you are processing payments. (Like it comes up when you are invoicing) That red flag would alert you to check if that customer can come off credit hold. At present every single payment for every customer has to be checked by zooming into the card to check if they were previously on credit hold. A big waste of time!! Please, please fix these things... I wouldn't think this was a particularly difficult thing to 'add' in to MYOB general ledger detail reports (or in the GST/Tax area etc) but we definitely DO need to be able to simply customise our MYOB general ledger details report so as to 'add' a column on that report to show the GST claimed/paid in respect of ANY transaction. This makes it very quick and easy to pick a particular account, have the appropriate column filters ON (including the tax amount column) to drill down and not only see account totals but to determine which PARTICULAR/INDIVIDUAL accounts have had GST treated correctly. Exception reports are fine...but when explaining to a client, it is far easier to simply bring up an account and show them which accounts are not doing what we need/expect them to do. By having a 'tax column' account, it will also benefit the accountant by totalling up the GST applicable to those transactions without meticulously wasting time clicking into transactions one at a time then manually adding up as a basis for a journal adjustment. Quickbooks has this simple tax amount column available to ALL ledger transaction detail reports and I think it is long overdue in MYOB reporting. Very simple for accountants and clients to make use of...please add in ASAP! I have attached a QB report which is just a basic drill down into the general ledger of 'bank fees' --> I simply select tax column and it shows me which transactions did or did not have GST claimed on them WITHOUT having to view all transactions for a month/quarter/year for ALL accounts. An exception report is great for bookkeepers or those at a data entry level...the column I refer to is a simple addition which helps accountants check particular accounts at a quick glance and gives us the information in a split second including the totals which form the basis for any adjustment required. I also discussed this with a MYOB training representative some time ago in Brisbane who advised that this functionality was not and was never part of the MYOB reporting system. A MYOB representative advised us late yesterday to submit this here in the hope that it would be considered and adopted in newer versions...please do! "Tax Amount Column"30KViews65likes49Comments
