Import and Export a Budget to CSV

(Same problem others have had but cannot find solution)

Wanting to Export a Budget to csv so that I can re-populate in Excel.

It will export to Excel but nothing happens when I choose the csv option in "export".

Exporting to Excel and repopulating then saving as csv DOESN'T work and message "The row count does not match the template."

I don't know what that means.

One of the replies says add a GST clearing account - I don't know what that means either.

Hours wasted, can I send someone my Chart of Accounts and have you send me back a csv template I can use maybe, OR tell me how to export to csv when the option is 'dead'.

Thanks

  • Hi MissPaully,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum.

We are still working on getting the export to CSV working again, but in the meantime, we have found if you add a GST clearing account you are able to export your budget to CSV. Click on business name in the top right corner >> Report Settings >> Select your GST clearing account. You can create a dummy account and disable this after you downloaded your CSV file.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, please feel free to post again. We are happy to help.

        Hi MissPaully,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum.

In this matter, the font sizes in MYOB are fixed for reports and no changes can be made to them. The only way to make any changes  or modify is to send the report to Excel and then making the necessary changes.
