And when I run the Items Register (Detail) I get a different tally to the summary report and the item screen report ?
Hi Bradworthington , whilst there could be other reasons for these issues, are you using multiple locations?

Suggest you use the Inventory Value Reconciliation (IVR) Report - it is much more reliable than the Items Register reports which have numerous bugs yet to be fixed.
The IVR will give you the correct on hand count as at the specified date. It will also give you the value of the item in the item register which should match with the balance of the Inventory account. If not, a stocktake is a good time to fix it all up.
