Forms: Invoices - Ability to add individual payment history

It would be amazing if when you invoice a sale, and print the invoice for the customer, if every payment made on that invoice was displayed with the date, amount and type of payment. (Credit Card, Cash, Direct etc).

 

I don't understand how this is not a thing already. There is no way that I can find of producing this information in a way that the average client can understand either.
