Employee Self-Onboarding employee duplication

I sent an invite to a new employee to an email address provided but they were unable to access this email address.  They supplied me with another email address which I sent another invite with the exact employee name.  Employee details were completed using the second invite and noted in MYOB as "complete".  The other remained as "sent"  However the details supplied by the new employee was applied to both "invites" even though the other was not accessed nor a email verification code sent to the first email address.  Now in my MYOB I have 2 employees with the same name and payroll details.

 

To fix, I did delete one of the duplicated employees, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
