Archiving hard copies of invoices/receipts

Hi All

Are you still archiving any hard copies of receipts/invoices etc now they can attach to our bills/spend moneys?

Not sure what the legalities are. Thanks in advance!

While I am not aware of any particular legalities surrounding your method of retaining paper copies of receipts and invoices, from a software point of view it is important to note that should you stop using AccountRight in the future, documents attached to bills by using the In Tray will eventually become unavailable. We do allow a period of time for these documents to be reaccessed and downloaded onto a local PC, but it is worth noting.

Thankyou! That makes sense, and thanks for taking the time to answer.

        Hi DC71

The legalities around record keeping are generally Tax Office related. See their link here - if you have queries about how they must be kept in this digital age, the ATO would be the best place to enquire.

        Regards

        Gavin
