We are a consultancy and have quotes that have several items on them. We would like to be able to invoice only certain line items as we complete them.

- Status removed:NewThanks for the suggestion RM-Imec. When changing a quote to an order, you can put some of the items into the 'back-ordered' column. This would create a back-order from those items. This would be separate to the quote. Would this suite your purposes, or do you need the remaining items to stay as a quote, rather than become an order?
Is the back-ordered items just for physical items, I create professional/service invoices/quotes.
Hello rm-imec. Yes the back-ordered field is for physical items only. It won't work for professional or service sales. If that's what you need, we'll set this idea to under consideration, and see if other users would like to see that as well.

This is good idea as many service firms will quote for a full job only may issue paritial invoice as progress payments. Can the time billing function work as aworkaround?
