User Access: Multiple users

I think when using MYOB with multiple users, you should be able to access all areas at all times & not have to get people to log out in order to view, add or edit particular things. It's very inefficient and makes it hard on all working in the file at one time.

    Hello Kirstie,

     

    You do not say what MYOB version you are using but if you need multiple access then you will need to be using the Multi-user Account Right Premier of the new 2013 versions.

    Hi David,

     

    Sorry, we are using AccountRight Premier v19.9. We always log in with multi-user access, but when trying to open some things (such as certain payroll categories etc) it will come up with the message "In order to do this you must be the only person using this file".

     

    This happens in quite a few areas in MYOB, which makes it difficult to get things done when you have a few of you using MYOB at the same time.

    Thanks for your great idea @David_Cree. The ability to change payroll categories and even importing of data while other users are signed in already exists in our AccountRight Plus 2013 software. This will also be included with the next release of AccountRight Premier in 2014.

    We have now released AccountRight Premier 2014.2. This brings Premier to our new platform, which allows changes to payroll categories and importing while other users are accessing the file. Premier 2014.2 doesn't support multi-currency at this stage. We hope to be able to release a version that does in the second half of 2014.
