Error posting journal in NZ payroll 2023.1

Is anything being done about this error , seems like a lot of people over the past few weeks have been experiencing this and there is no fix thus far.

    The "Error posting journal in NZ payroll 2023.1" was a known issue affecting users of MYOB AccountRight with the New Zealand Payroll extension version 2023.1. This bug prevented journals from automatically posting after processing payroll, causing frustration and manual work for users.

    The issue was primarily caused by:

    Outdated SDK files: These files facilitate communication between the payroll software and the accounting software. In this case, outdated versions caused compatibility issues. you can use the whatsapp ad

    Resolution:

    Fortunately, MYOB released a fix in the form of an updated installer containing necessary SDK files. Here's what you can do:

    Uninstall current NZ Payroll 2023.1: This step is crucial to ensure a clean installation.

    Download the updated installer: You can find it on the MYOB website for your specific version and region. For example, here's the link for the Australian version: https://exo.myob.com/MYOBPayroll/EAP/2023.1/MYOBPayroll2023-1.exe

    Reinstall NZ Payroll 2023.1: Follow the installation instructions.

    Restart your computer: This ensures all changes take effect.

    well the update arrived yesterday, in the email it said to delete the Payroll and then to re-install after the update. Now I can't even get that back and have lost my payroll, good one MYOB

      Hi Wilma 

      You won't have lost the payroll - it will just be in a different location to the default location. Go into the Clearwater file - go to Tools - Options and settings and change the default location to where your data is. Then re-open payroll and it should be back.

        Hi jenniek , it is sorted now, had a lady from MYOB help me through Teamviewer. the update had to be downloaded in safe mode on my comp and deleting some weird folders that were there for some strange reason. but in the end it all got sorted..

        The frustrating part is the wait times, which has been made worse with the faulty update they sent out 3 or 4 weeks ago. I'm guessing I wasn't the only one wanting to get through....(trying to get through by phone was impossible, gave up after 90 min. and also the chat online I clicked off after waiting for 60 min )

        but today was a Yay day when everything worked as it should. :)

    I still havent received an email update on this being fixed , please can you advise as I am still having to do manual journals.

      Hi Dani,

       

      This was the link I was sent that fixed it :

      However on my laptop certain files needed to be deleted and a couple more things (as in starting in safe mode)- I had help from the tech team from MYOB who hopped in my computer via Teamviewer. 

      In the end got it to work and all my journals posted across with last week's payroll.

      I'm sorry to hear that no one has responded to you yet. The team was aware of this and found a way to resolve the error. As Wilma mentioned, In order to get the latest SDK files, you will need to uninstall any existing NZ Payroll software and install the installer below. This installer will come with the latest SDK files: https://exo.myob.com/MYOBPayroll/EAP/2023.1/MYOBPayroll2023-1.exe

        Thanks for your reply , I have uninstalled Payroll and reinstalled and it is still coming up with the SDK error.
