ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Bank Processing Date prior to System Date HiEric3 You may be able to journal from the electronic clearing account to the main account, however the transaction will stay in the Electronic Clearing Account as it didn't get pushed out of the account. If you would want to do this I recommend talking to an accounting advisor to make sure you are using the correct accounts in this transaction. Have you tried to change the date using the browser version? Open app.myob.com and you might be able to record it there. If you take a backup of your online file as per the link I sent you and restore it offline, you will keep your latest data. It is just that your file needs to be offline for the system date change to have an effect without an error message. Once that is done you can reupload your updated file online. Re: Myob Account Transaction Accrual Report not Exporting to Excel HiPbangez Thanks for your post. There could be a few causes for this. Could you check the following: Do you have a compatible version of Excel installed (32 bit)? If you haveinstalled Excel after AccountRight you will need to uninstall both AccountRight and Excel, before reinstalling a compatible version of Excel first before AccountRight. Windows permissions need to be the same between Excel and AccountRight to ensure that the information gets exported across. If clicking Export to Excel doesn’t send the information through then it could be caused by a permissions imbalance. Close AccountRight before right clicking on the AccountRightdesktopicon and choose Run as Administrator. This will run AccountRight with full Windows Administrator permissions so it should allow the export to go through. If the export does go through when running AccountRight as a Windows Administrator, but not normally then AccountRight will need to be reinstalled with full Windows Administrator permissions by right clicking on the installer and choosing “Run as Administrator” Generally AccountRight LIVE sends the data straight to Excel via .NET Framework, if there is nothing happening when trying to export to Excel means that the direct link is either non-existent or became broken. Solution is to do a repair install of .NET Framework Re: Bank Processing Date prior to System Date HiEric3 Thank you for your post. If the file is Online, it will not allow you to do this. A possible work around could be is to take aback up of your online file>Restore the back up locally> Make the changes you need to make > Take a back up > Restore the new back up file online so it replaces the current file in the cloud. Our help articleRestore your company filehas instructions under headingTo restore a backup online (to replace your online working company file)on how to do this. Re: Owners Funds Hi Vanessa1606 Thanks for your post. Generally speaking you would use an equity account like Owners drawings to take money out of your business and Owners contribution account to add money to your business. Usually your business expenses would be allocated to expense accounts. However as we're not accountants we're not permitted to advise on the accounts and tax codes you would need to use. As such, you will need to speak to your accountant to get the correct advise for your business. That being said, I do encourage other members of the Community Forum to share their experience and financial knowledge. Re: Attaching receipts to payments/refunds HiSam_P The AccountRight desktop application will only allow for users to attach documents to bills or spend money records. Receive money transactions will not have that option for attachments. In saying that, thebrowser interface of AccountRightwill allow for documents to beuploaded to banking transactions. As such, you can attach documents to receive money transactions through this method.Note: These documents will not be able to be seen or accessed in the Desktop application. Could you please follow the steps in this help article:Error: Something's gone wrong and AccountRight needs to close. If you are still having issues, could you please upload the error log/diagnostic log so I can have a closer look? Re: disabling the delete sale option under the edit menu HiVansan Thanks for your post. I would recommend going through these help articles:Deleting an invoice, quote or order and Deleting a bill, quote or order. It will go through the options for you to disable deleting sales and purchases. Re: Old data coming through bank feeds HiKarenAdams Thanks for your post. Back in2021 we had some files with duplicate bank transactions in the AccountRight software. The reason the transactions randomly show up for our customers now is because you might have clicked the get bank transactions button: When you click that button it undoes the script we put against the duplicates back in December. To permanently remove these from the feed is to right click and hide them. Re: Online invoice payment closes invoice HiTKWA Thanks for your post. Perhaps the following setting has been ticked? If you usebank feedsorimport bank statements, you can set up MYOB to automatically reconcile your invoice payments to your bank feed to save time on admin. To do this, you need to select an account in MYOB to record online invoice payments: Click your business name and chooseSales settings. Click thePaymentstab. In theInvoice payments optionssection, clickEdit preferencesto open theOnline payments settingspage. On the Online invoice payments tab, select the ledger account to record online invoice payments: If you want to pass on the credit card fees for MasterCard, Visa and AMEX payments, select this option and choose the MYOB account for recording your online invoice payment fees and charges. Learn more aboutCustomer surcharging for online payments. ClickSave. This is how it usually works: When a customer makes an online payment, it'll automatically be recorded into your MYOB business, and the associated invoice will be closed off. You'll also receive an email notification about the payment. All credit and debit card payments made on the same day will be grouped and deposited into the settlement account you nominated when you set up online invoice payments. BPAY payments will be individually deposited into that same account. Because the payments are automatically recorded in your MYOB business, when the bank transactions come into your software (either via bank feeds or an imported bank statement), those payments can be easily matched.Learn more about how matching works.
