Bank Rec and unpresented cheques

Hi

I have a problem with a bank rec. Every time I print a statement I am showing an old cleared cheque in the cleared cheque section, however it has been cleared and reconciled over a year ago - it is not throwing out balances or showing on the reconciliation screen, only on the actual report - any ideas

Hi Lee-Anne

I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with the Reconciliation Report in AccountRight.

Can you please run the Bank Register report for that bank account, for a date range including those cheques that are still showing. Once you have run this report can you go to Insert/Modify at the top of the screen then Show Hide on the right hand side. In the Show/Hide window can you please select the Reconciled Date on the left hand column and add it to your report by clicking the Show button.

Once done can you click back into the Filters at the top of the screen and check to see if those three cheques have a date appearing in the Reconciled Date column? I would be expecting a date to show under that column for anything that has been reconciled

Hi Neil thanks for your reply unfortunately it is a little late for now as we are away for a week but will definitely give it a go next week when we get home- it is only the one check that is a problem

Hi Neil

Have done the report as suggested, the Reconcile date is showing as the 31/5/2016.  At this stage I have only reconciled up until the 27th January so I am thinking something will come right after I do the 30th June reconcilation - I have gone back and undone all the bank recs until the beginning of the financial year however this does not seem to have corrected the problem.  Some sort of a glitch somewhere, but I am sure that now I have seen that it will work itself out - thankyou

I would be expecting the same, if it has got a reconciled date then it should correct itself, particularly if you are redoing all of the bank recs since the start of the year.
