Cleared cheque detail on bank reconciliation

I have just changed across to AccountRight - I note that when I do my bank reconciliation instead of the employees name appearing under cleared cheques it has their street address instead.  Is anyone able to tell me how I change this so that the employees name appears under the cleared cheques and not the address?

A very warm welcome to the MYOB Community Forum. I hope you find this to be a useful tool.

The name of the employee gets reflected when you enter the name of the employee in the Memo when you pay your employees.  While reconciling your bank account the memo is what is displayed. Please check the screen shot below:

Note that the Memo for example above will be shown when reconciling your bank account:

Riena - just another question re the bank recs in AccountRight, which I have just changed over from MYOB Classic 19.3 and never had these issues.

I note that on my bank rec all my wage lines are coming up as the payees (employees) address and not their name.  Why is this and how can I rectify it - this issue never occured in 19.3

Hi Alex,

Can you please check if the Bank Reconciliation that has the addresses of the employees, if their payslips have the memo field in them. Please check and change the memo in payslips and it will show the employees name the bank reconciliation. I believe that is causing the issue as the payslips were processed prior and it did not have memos so it picked up the addresses.
