Reconciliation out of balance by 0.01

I am trying to reconcile my accounts and it is telling me I am $0.01 out. But my bank statement matches my entries into MYOB exactly. If I try and just do a Bank fee of $0.01 it then tells me I am out by -$0.01 rather than just zero. I cannot solve this no matter what I try and do. If I add an extra cent to another transaction it takes me to a negative 1c balance again. If I try to manually change the closing statement balance to match the calculated statement balance it goes to a negative balance again, depite my closing balance matching the calculated one. Please help! What am I doing wrong????

Re: Reconciliation out of balance by 0.01

Hi there @MyraMac,

Welcome to the Community Forum!

Please be rest assured you haven't done anything wrong. The issue you have encountered is a known issue within the software where a one cent out of balance exists when attempting to reconcile. This is caused by a payroll transaction that contains 4 decimal places when rounding. If the transaction in question is in the current payroll year, you can simply delete the pay and re-enter it, manually overtyping the amounts.

Otherwise, we'll have to organize to have the file sent in for the AccountRight Live team to repair. I have sent you a private message requesting additional information to set this up for you - please do respond with the relevant information should this be something you wish to pursue.

Feel free to post again anytime you have any other queries.

Warm Regards,

Tallie
