Set up Bank Feeds

Hello

I want to set up bank feeds for our company.

Do we have to switch to online version or updated to the latest version will be fine? We are currently using Premier v19.

However, we are currently using WMS linking to MYOB as well. If we change to online version, will this affect the linkage?

Is there any solutions for this situation?

Thank you.

Best Regards

Ann

Re: Set up Bank Feeds

Hi @annxu

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge.

Its great to hear that you are looking into bank feeds, its a fantastic feature that alot of clients use everyday.

In order to have access to Bank feeds you do need to be on AccountRight 2015 and have an active AccountRight subscription. The company file can be online or saved locally. If you are saving the company file you do need to make sure that you have Internet access on that computer to obtain those feeds.

In terms of third party connections to AccountRight 2015, MYOB have developed an API which replaces the older ODBC driver used in the AccountRight Classic range. It does offer a different way to connecting, so I would recommend checking with your add on server provider to make sure that their program can connect to the AccountRight API. I would also check to see if there is anything special that you do need to do in order to connect that to AccountRight.

You might also take a look at Help Article: Upgrade to the AccountRight which does go through the benefits and process of upgrade to AccountRight 2015. However if you have any enquires don't hesitate to post on the MYOB Community Forum, I'm sure the MYOB Community would be happy to assist.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Set up Bank Feeds

Hello Steven

Thank you very much for the solutions.

However, Datapel WMS told us last week they could not link to your lastest version.

One of our third party support said the linkage is ok.

I am quite confused here.

Could you please kindly provide a solution for that?

The version we currently use for Datapel WMS is the professional version.

Thank you.

Re: Set up Bank Feeds

Hi @annxu

Looking at the MYOB Add-on solution page for Datapel it is showing as being able to integrate with AccountRight Live and AccountRight Classic. On the Datapel website it doesn't go into specifics as to which versions it does integrate with and how that integration is completed.

I would recommend going with the developer's answer as to which version of the AccountRight program that they will currently support. As my understanding is that the MYOB Add-on solution page is based on the information provided by the developer and therefore can be inaccurate as it may only be suitable for an older AccountRight version.

Kind regards,
Steven
