bank feed - payments show as deposits

Hi,

I have recently implemented a bank feed for a long-standing bank loan. Up to now I have entered loan interest and repayments by journal entry.

I have downloaded the bank feed and had a look at the bank reconciliation. I can reconcile the bank loan up to 30 June 2016 which was the last date of my manual journal entries. However, the automatic bank feed from July is showing loan interest as a deposit and not a withdrawal - it is effectively the wrong way round!

I have the account set up as a Credit Card and the loan is from the Arab Bank.

Has anybody come across this before and know how to fix it?
