2FA Setup

I am trying to set up 2FA using Authy rather than a phone app? Authy asks for a code from the website. Where do I find this code?

Hi @Charters

 

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of helpful information

 

When setting up the 2FA system, generally speaking you will need to scan the QR code generated as part of the sign up process. That being said if for some reason you aren’t able to scan the QR code there is an option to generate a code to enter into the authenticator app.

Thanks Neil.

 

I tried that but the Authy App appears to be asking for a 28 character code as pictured rather than a generated authentication number.

HI @Charters

 

The code generation mentioned above is the only code that gets generated as part of the set-up process prior to generating the first code in the app.

 

You could try inputting the code and seeing whether anything is generated. Alternatively, as Authy is a third-party service, you may want to speak with them over whether Authy accepts shorter codes.
