Hi, MYOB have posted one possible solution to the above issue, but we cannot reply with alternatives, when the one suggestion does not work. The issue appears to have been caused by a recent Windows 10 update.
Here's one:

Basically you turn off user account control (but it has to be done in the way outlined here).
This worked for one client just now.

Thank you for providing an additional workaround to the one provided on AccountRight Classic (v19): This app has been blocked for your protection.
For other users, there are a variety of workarounds available for that message and we do recommend users consult their IT specialist to seek a solution that will be suitable for their business and IT security policies.

I have had 2 customers with this issue, and the registry edit option works well. I agree that it is best to use an IT professional as it entails registry edits, which can cause catastrophic problems if you make an error in the registry.

hi
i have tried the link myob sent to 'run as administrator' but that didn't work
i tried turning changing the user account settings and nothing is working
we need access to myob urgently as we run all our invoicing out of it
what else can we do

Perhaps if MYOB hadn't told Microsoft that these older versions are no longer supported, then Microsoft would not have it listed as an app that is 'incompatible with Windows 10'. Something must have triggered the change as 'Windows smart screen' has been around for a few months.

I am on Windows 2007 and have MYOB is blocked by an administrator as well. I didnt do any updates that I am aware of. I dont have an IT professional to help me, I am a volunteer treasurer for a committee. I have turned off Antivirus, that doesnt work.
I cant find where in Microsoft I can change app settings (I only just created an account).
If someone has a fix please post step by step instructions, I will be so grateful.
