System generated General Journals

Hi

 

Can someone please advise what the System Generated entries in AccountRught are, and where do they come from?

Hey there.

 

I'm assuming you're talking about the "SYSTEM" User. This is a database user the software utilises to complete automated entries, like Recurring Transactions those End of Year rollovers. Though from seeing some odd things, I've seen addons post data using the API and the SYSTEM user.

 

Hope that answers trouble you're having, let me know if I've got it all wrong.

Thanks for your reply. These seem to be system generated transactions not assocaited with Recurring Transactions or year end roll overs.

In addition to those mentioned by @TingSpace, there are also 'Cost of Sales Adjustments caused by ......" these are related to negative inventory or use of Orders with a Received Item that is sold.

 

If you are seeing something else, perhaps post an example.
