The Cloud

Hi

I am new the cloud, so just a quick couple of questions if some can please help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

1.  Do you have to sign out of the cloud and do you have to do backups??? or can you do a back up once a month to a harddrive???

2.  I signed into the cloud and it gave none of these options.

3.  I am wanting to use this on all computers, etc.  Do I have to have myob installed on all my devices to use it???

1.  When launching AccountRight 2018, there's a two-step process to access your online file:
     - First sign-on to your my.myob account
     - Then go to Open an AccountRight Library - Online and click on your file to access it

    AR 2018 can be used Online or Offline - it's easy to switch between the two.

    Once you've opened your file, you can choose to work on it Offline, by checking the file out

    Handy if you want to work on the file on your own laptop, whilst on a flight.
    Once back on the ground and on the Internet, just check the file in again, for online access.

2. Online files are backed-up automatically by MYOB throughout the day.
    However you can make a backup to your local computer at any time, by going to File - Backup.

3. You will have to download and install AccountRight on all of your computers.

    Downloading is free, provided you have a current subscription.
    Subscriptions cover unlimited user access to one online file (two if your're using AR Premier)

    To download AccountRight, first create a my.myob account at my.myob.com

    Then once you have your subscription, log-in to your my.myob account.

    There, you may be asked for your Authenticator Code - see Two-factor authentication for more info.
    Once you've logged-in, go to MY Products \ Downloads.

    Note: for each edition of AccountRight 2018 (Basic / Standard / Plus / Premier), there are two versions:

    - PC or Server. Usually you'll only need the PC version. If you're using a network server to access your file,

    you'll need to install the Server version on that server. 

AccountRight 2018 editions:

- Basics (with access to one online file)

- Standard (as per Basics, but plus Inventory & Accounts Payable)

- Plus - the most popular version (per Standard, but with Payroll too)

- Premier (per Standard, but with access to two online files.
  (Also recommended if you have more than 5 users, as performance may be faster)

You'll need to have the same edition on each computer.

All editions have unlimited online users.

Using Online access has some big advantages, including:

- Online Invoicing

- Online In-Tray for emailed documents

  (e.g. for supplier bills - speeds up data entry)

- Online BAS & IAS lodgments

- Bank Feeds (also available when you're in Offline mode, provided you have an Internet conection)
