I am unable to get the 2018 update from 2017 software. It stops at the following screen. You can see that the only options given are to uninstall or close. SHould i click uninstall?

I would recommend taking a look at my post on Uninstall or cancel message upon installing new version, which outlines why that message occurs and options to resolved that message. Generally speaking, it does mean that you have the program already installed on your computer and need to select the new desktop shortcut to open that program.
