AccountRight Application Error

Hi,

I use Win 10 and when I try to customize forms in Account Right Ver 2017.1, not sure why I get the following error:

Code:
System.TypeInitializationException

The ony option I am left is with to either restart account right or close. Screenshot attached:

MYOB error.JPG

When I close, there is a pop up which reads: Huxley.Application has stopped working

Also, when I try to run reports, the system doesn't respond.

Please help.

Thanks.

Re: AccountRight Application Error

Hi @sid_mpika

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a great resource.

When you receive this error, are you able to click on View Error Details in the bottom left hand corner of the error message. This will open up an error log that gives additional information about the issue.

For us to be able to assist, are you able to copy and paste the entire contents of the error log onto the Forum so that we can see it? By seeing the full error log we can see what is generating that error and how you can resolve it

Regards,
Neil

Re: AccountRight Application Error

HI @sid_mpika

Thank you for that error log, it was helpful in understanding what was going on with your program.

That particular error can sometimes be resolved by reinstalling the Microsoft .net framework on that computer. Alternatively you can look to uninstall the current version of the Microsoft .net framework and install an older version that may work better. If you are unsure of how to do this, I recommend speaking with your IT professional.

You may also want to try the steps laid out in this Microsoft support post. As some of the steps outlined in this are technical in nature, I’d recommend getting your IT professional to perform them if you are unfamiliar with them.

Do let us know how you get on with this

Neil

Re: AccountRight Application Error

It works.

I downloaded microsoft .net framework from:

https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/dotnet-framework-runtime/net471

Let my computer restart and MYOB works just like before.

Wonderful!!

Thanks for your help.
